What we do to make a difference!
When you buy from 5 Star Office, you are using an ISO14001 accredited supplier. The environmental agenda may have been suppressed in 2020 with the arrival of the Coronavirus threat but we hope it will feature back at the top of our lists soon!
Here at 5 Star office, when it comes to environmental matters, we place great emphasis on what people do rather than what people say. Which is why we focus each year on our ISO14001 audit process and ensure we continue the journey we started some years ago to fully neutralise our trading impact on the environment.
We offer a portable battery take-back service. If you send your batteries back to us, they can be deposited for recycling using facilities in our warehouse. We are only able to accept portable batteries, which means those that can be easily carried by hand. Larger batteries, including automotive and industrial batteries, can be recycled across the UK and you can find more information on how to do this at www.recyclenow.com. A business powered by the sun:
Rather than source our electricity from conventional coal fired power stations (or worse!), we’ve installed our own solar panels to guarantee we are producing clean, green electricity to power the business.

We're all doing all we can to eliminate our trading impact
Recycling
All waste cardboard, paper and plastic is recycled using a local processor some 6 miles from our offices.
Office Bins
All office bins are banned-all our staff welcome the responsibility of sorting, filtering and where possible recycling their waste.
LED Lights
Out latest solar panel initiative has seen 81% of our electricity generated in a single month in the summer of 2020.
Company Cars
Our first one has arrived! Our fully electric e-Golf is here and powered by the sunshine captured from our roof!
Delivery Vans
We are waiting for the ready availability of all electric bigger commercial vehicles before we start switching our fleet over.
